I have notice that Ryan White has evolved into a 'pretty' strong defensive player who can handle his 4th line minutes and penalty killing duties very well. I also noticed over time that he has matured and become a responsible player that understands the system. He isn't just play all crazy and undisciplined out there anymore he is actually playing controlled.

Anyone else notice this from Whitey?

White does his job admirably prefer him to some of the passengers.

Sort of. He tampers a bit when playing C. More aggressive on wing.

I would stop a long way short of calling White a "strong defensive player". He still blows his assignments and runs around a lot. He's better than he used to be, but still not ideal IMO.

He's developed into a solid 4th line center. Great in the faceoff circle, good on the PK, toned down the stupid penalties, and even goads useful players into dropping the gloves with him.

He's come a long way from that young crazy player he used to be. Just goes to show what patience can do in the development of a player.

The old White will return when Prust and Parros return.
