I'll tell you what I saw that I don't think I've seen before--a Buffalo PP ended but they hadn't lost the zone and Voracek (exiting the box) hadn't gotten back to the play. Forward tries a no-look pass to the blueline and there's no one there because the defensemen (I think both) had gone for a change.

The official Flyers twitter account should not be making that tweet. Just giving fire to the Sabres to motivate themselves in the next game against them. You can bet printouts of that tweet will be pasted all over the Sabres locker room the next time the Flyers play the Sabres.

Only if there is a coaching change before the next time they play the Flyers.

I seem to remember the Washington Generals hitting a similar spot of rough luck against one team.
How on earth does this only have two "Likes"!

Next time put what you want to discuss in the thread title.

You managed to not only do that, you didn't put your question in the first post (it's ambiguous).

To answer the original question, it is a first in team history but not the first time in NHL history.

The National Hockey League publishes such trivia on its PR Twitter account.

The thread remains locked.
