Brett Hull isn't.

I don't think anyone sane would consider Kane > Bobby so I assume this thread isn't about him.
Yes, he is actually a dual citizen. But hence the emoji I chose. I realize the OP listed it in quotes as "American."

I feel like there are some snipers today that could put Brett Hull numbers back then if they could adjust.

It was a different game back then but goaltending is just so good nowadays compared to the 80's-'90's.

Someone can correct me. But I thought he got cut from a Canadian national team and then chose to play for the states

Cut is probably not the right word as I would use it.

Hockey Canada named a team for the WHC and he wasn't selected. The USA invited him to play for them and the rest is history.

I say he has. Hull had a far higher peak of course, but his game dropped pretty hard in the last half of his career. Kane's hasn't yet, and unless it does, I think Kane will have the greater legacy.

I'm not sure he even has this, honestly. Kane in 2015-16 is at least on par with Hull in 1991.

What Brett does have is a 4 year peak of truly elite level production where Kane only has 2. But even then, Hull's 101 point season in 1992-93 earned him only an 18th place finish in scoring and he was -27, so you might argue that he really only has 3 peak seasons.

Hull
Hart, 3 Richards, 2 other Hart nominations, excellent playoff resume, legendary goal scoring season - possibly the best ever.

Kane
Hart, Art Ross, 0 other Hart nominations, excellent playoff resume

Not a bad comparison but IMO it's Hull.

Huh? Hull scored 39, 30, 37, and 25 goals in each of his last 4 seasons, in his late 30s.
