Cross checking someone in the face is not playing physically. I can’t see how anyone can equate the two things.

Gutless player. Going to be a very rough off season for him. Hope he learned his lesson.

If The Leafs win he'll be back next series... then a Columbus player will hit him with a clean body check in a tense tough game, he'll snap, run around like an idiot and get suspended again for trying to take someone's head off (or knee someone like he did to Ovechkin in the playoffs two years ago).

I wouldn't think so, but this is now twice in a row he has been literally useless in the playoffs.

3 strikes and your out (MO).

He should've been suspended for his knee-on-knee to Ovechkin two years ago. This should've been his third consecutive playoff suspension.
It's why you know if the Leafs make the second round, he'll do it again. He just can't handle the intensity of the playoffs.

We will see at the end of the year but he will be back in our lineup in a week when we take on Columbus.

You don't say? What insight.

In other words, no point trying to chase players that don't fit your style of play. Square peg in round hole. Yet everybody keeps telling the Leafs the opposite.

Kadri's physicality (aka defending a teammate when the refs let the game become dangerous, and Boston repeatedly attempted to seriously injure him and his teammates), had zero consequence on the game that the refs had already pre-determined before it started, and while his presence is missed in this series, it brought the team together, Desbrusk has also been a non-factor since that hit, and it ensured a spotlight on the series/reffing, so that no other game would become the dangerous bloodbath game 2 was. We have forward depth to deal with his absence.

As much as I think Kadri handled it wrong, our players not being seriously injured was more important, and Kadri made that sacrifice for the team. That's what everybody keeps saying we need, until they don't like the realities of what that means.

Kadri is a hotheaded cheapshot artist and get away with it 90% of the times! Hes didnt stand up for a teammate, it was pure retaliation against a player who got under his skin after several battles before that stupid move. Not even around the boards and the puck gone, then he decided to skating to Debrusk and crosschecking him in the head, thats jailtime outside a hockeyrink and luckily Debrusk didnt got injurys for life.

You drop your gloves if you want to make a statement which Kadri never done if he not been forced into the fight, hes a coward and has let down his team once again as he did last year.

He need anger management or taken away from the game before he put some away for life!

It's like he WANTS to ramp it to 11, which is awesome. He just.... doesn't know exactly how to do it and it's kind of dangerous.

He's a great player though, maybe a trade would be the eye opening moment.
