Good for him. He’s still elite and I can see him playing at a high level for a few more seasons. Structure will be important but most of these contracts, especially with the Vikings, are pay as you go after the first two years that contain most of the guarantees.

Has been Vikes best player for years now and is still very good

At that position you can still get good production well into 30's so I dont see this being a major risk for Vikes

Looks like there's only around $14M fully guaranteed and the Vikings have a pretty easy out after the 2022 season if his play drops off. Ideally they'll get at least three good years out of him.

After age 30, outside of QB and LT not going to have much guaranteed money when you sign a long term deal. Have to earn the next year every season. In essence this is a one year deal.
