Nice
What would be your decision if we need to open one extra roster spot at Caps for an AHL forward(s) ?

Who can be traded/waived ? Please choose/guess one.

1. Travis Boyd (C)
2. André Burakovsky (LW)
3. Nic Dowd (C)
4. Dmitrij Jaskin (RW)
5. Devante Smith-Pelly (RW)
6. Chandler Stephenson (LW)
7. No one: I do not want to see Barber, Gersich, O'Brien or Shumakov in NHL this regular season.
8. No one: We will have enough injuries and cap space to see everyone we want from AHL.

Trade 2, maybe waive 3 but he seems ok at what we have him here to do.

I think we let Hershey gel and if there's an injury that results in a slot opening up through IR then we give the kids a shot.

The team is just getting it's groove after a rough start, not in any rush to field prospects, much as I'd love to see what they did with the opportunity.

Assuming Oshie and kuzy are back, I’d shop 2 and 4. Bura needs a new environment, I honestly think it’s mental with him and he isn’t going to produce here. Jaskin I’m just not sure what his roll is here outside of being a bit physical.

A mix of 7/8. There's no need to pave the way for a Hershey forward or to assume they'd jump three of these players on the depth chart to become a regular. Even if they were to be able to sell high on Burakovsky, when fully healthy they'd probably just carry 13 forwards until a need arises. But there's still the question of whether they have another legit top nine forward alternative to 65. Maybe it's Boyd if he's able to keep it up but does he fit at LW? The production and energy so far from Boyd has been good but it's just ten games. If more injuries hit and a Hershey forward is able to run with the chance then maybe that changes things. In the meantime I don't think there's any problem. They need the depth.

Dowd or Jaskin would be the most likely ones to be waived I think, although Jaskin does seem to be showing a little more offensively lately.

I'd like to see what Barber could do with Burakovsky's minutes. How the numbers would work out is malleable, but I wouldn't want the Caps to qualify Bura at $3.25 mil and I'd like to see how a currently-hot Barber does in his stead sooner as opposed to later.

1. Burt is due to break something. Happens every year. Wait for him to get hot though. He will hit his stride and light it up for 10 games and then IR.

2. Jaskin gets waived when the time comes.
