Sing Praise to Saint Patrick Enjoy!

Sing praise to Saint Patrick who brought to our mountains
the gift of God's faith, the sweet light of His love.
Give praise to the shepherd who showed us the fountains
raised up in the heart of our Savior above.

For hundreds of years,
in smiles and in tears,
our Saint has been with us, our shield and our stay;
all else may have gone Saint Patrick alone.

He hath been to us light, when our lights were all set
but the glories of faith, they can never decay,
and the best of these glories is bright with us yet
in the faith and the feast of Saint Patrick's Day.

Yes praise be dear Patrick our bishop our champion.
Women of Erin give thanks for this saint.
By blessing of Jesus, this patron of Ireland
defies so the devil whose vict'ry there ain't.

For hundreds of years,
in smiles and in tears,
our saint has been with us, our shield and our stay;
all else may have gone Saint Patrick alone...

He hath been to us light, when our lights were all set
but the glories of faith, they can never decay,
and the best of these glories is bright with us yet
in the faith and the feast of Saint Patrick's Day.

All praise be to God good Father Creator
by your Spirit our patron Saint Patrick reveals.
The shamrock he taught us, has clear illustrated
Trinity in one God divine mys'try prevails!

For hundreds of years
in smiles and in tears,
our saint has been with us, our shield and our stay:
all else may have gone Saint Patrick alone...

He hath been to us light, when our lights were all set
but the glories of faith, they can never decay,
and the best of these glories is bright with us yet
in the faith and the feast of Saint Patrick's Day.

St. Patrick's day is like one of those like Groundhog's day and election day that they should give everyone the day off.

But anyway this one is kind of special in that we should stay away from the parades and the bars etc.---stay safe and maybe make up for it next year---or the year after.

Happy St. Patrick's day Bern. We haven't agreed on a lot over the years but you're a good guy with a good heart. Stay healthy and God bless you.

If no one can participate in St. Patrick's Day this year, at least it looks like it's going to be a rainy and gross day.

I should be on my way to the city to bagpipe right now.

I think if I go for a walk outside today I’ll just bring my pipes with me and play as I stroll. That should ensure social distancing.

There is currently no rendition of this work featuring bagpipes!
If ya wanna give it a shot, take yer time, hook up with some musician friends, and like Ringo said:
"... get yourself together now and give me something tasty...".

Confirm your interest, I will extend a license with terms for permissions for you to record your version of my work, which, if you wish, you may try to sell [your rendition, not my underlying work].

Since same is otherwise temporarily unavailable, pls advise you would like, and with a direct email for you, I will provide you with a courtesy copy of the sheet music pdf and performance mp3 of the song, for personal review and non commercial use only, to assist with your decision.

enjoy.

general FYI:

I have to straighten out certain things at my website, including the shopping cart, and they are taking a back seat to plans to make available by download purchase three songs --- Christmas Day, Sing Praise to Saint Patrick, and The Star Spangled Banner --- which I ultimately will be making most of the net proceeds for certain charitable causes. However, I intend to direct those proceeds to immediately be used to help fight coronavirus, preferably by helping to contribute to funding for research for a cure.

More specifically, I have acquired revtit.com [a site for information] and revtit.shop [actual ecommerce platform purchase site], which I am hoping to get under way ASAP despite limited development capital. {My time has been consumed with personal responsibilities and more emphasis on my academic, rather than entertainment, IP.}

Revtit is an abbreviation for "reverse tithe", a tithe we recognize as an historic suggested contribution for a house of worship, of 10%. Allowing to recover expenses as necessary, I will donate 90% of the profit remainder, and retain only 10% for myself.

This project is in its infancy, I have only just secured the domain names.

In compliance with HFB policy as to commercial biz [tho this is gonna be more non-profit than profit and thus not a violation], anyone interested in more info as it becomes available should pm/start a conversation w/me.

@Gardner McKay for what can be said here, let's just say there is a disconnect between you saying I am a good guy and your recognition of that fact to date.

I am very busy atm, but when I get a chance I will start a conversation to detail where I am coming from.

Til then.

Oof not sure if I have the chops for that. But I can try once the crisis is over. My BWW writer is on my office PC.

btw
what's
BWW?

It’s a file format used for digital bagpipe notation. The software we run them on is Bagpipe Reader.

I mostly use it just for practice, you open the songs BWW file and play along at whatever tempo you set, but you can also use it to make new music or harmonies or to convert things like church hymns to the bagpipes.
