Nice, but this photo isn't from 1979 -- I think it's from 1984 or 1985.I just did a google search for NHL, and saw that it was Jan. 26th, and the 59th birthday of Wayne Douglas Gretzky.
It's hard to believe it's been over 40 years since his first NHL game, and 20 years since his last. And now on All Star Weekend, 40 years since this:

And the weird thing was, it's wasn't the WHA All-Star "game" -- it was 3 games!

Sportsnet had the 1980 game on NHL Classics on the ASW five years ago, so I watched some of that. I remember seeing Wayne side by side with Gordie, and Phil as well, but for some reason there aren't any stills I can find on Google.
