His 1,2 punch of Johnson Martinez is ridiculous, no argument there.

But the Tigers' offense is more potent.

Josh Gibson is thought to be practically a contemporary to Ruth. So therefore, he crushes Fisk.

Pujols, as good as he is, is not Lou Gehrig.

Boggs could slap the ball around the field, but Brett is much more of a power threat, and is almost as good of a contact hitter.

Robinson was a more consistent bat than Vlady, almost doubling him up in career bWAR.

Jackie is better than Nap overall so you got me there.

A-Rod vs Cal in terms of hitting is a laugher.

And well Babe is Babe. I mean, Ken Griffey Jr isn't a slouch, but he isn't Babe.

Position to position, in regards to offense, I think the Tigers have the edge 6-2. And with the exception of Nap everyone can be a power threat. The Red Sox just don't have that kind of power depth.

Considering how good the pitching is, I think it's asking a bit much to generate runs through dinking and dunking with small ball. These aren't the types of pitchers that let teams string runs of hits against them.

    Tigers in 7.

I'd like to see Boston put Shoeless in the starting lineup for Vlad. His .356 BA is the 3rd highest ever. He was a great late round pickup.
