Too bad we couldn’t make a goalie trade. Wolf should be splitting starts until the end of the season. Good outing for him, he’s the real deal

I'm optimistic he can be good, but it's hard to say he is the "real deal" after one game.

Keep in mind that we played one of our best games defensively, and Vegas played like trash. We had 5 high danger scoring chances against us, and one was caused directly by Wolf's giveaway.

We had an expected goals against that game of just over 1. In other words, if you put any average goalie in the same net you would expect around 1 goal against as well.

I hope this game gives him confidence though. And he seems fast.

I see he had 2 nice assists. Is he actually playing well? Or more of a hot stretch?

I’d say he’s been quite effective. Would be a nice piece to retain for ideally 3rd/4th line duty going forward.

To me, he’s the type of guy to have success on a modern NHL 4th line.
