Whats with all the negativity? The Bulldogs are right in the thick of the race. They only have games in hand on Lake Erie and they'd still be right in it regardless. The PP has scored 4 times in the last 8 games and the Bulldogs are averaging 3.5 goals per game since the start of the streak/visit from Bergevin. 1.8 GA on average over that span as well. They have been playing really well lately, and if they keep up even half the pace they have right now they should be in the hunt for a playoff spot.

yes the dogs are in the thick of the race, we'll see how it goes as they are in a soft spot on the schedule. LE has 2 games in hand, Texas has 1, Marlies have 1, (so if they win that game they are only 3 pts back of the Dogs)

The Dogs PP has dropped to 12.2% and currently sits 28th in the AHL. Only the Marlies (20) and Checkers (18) have scored less PP goals then the Dogs. To me that's a big problem when you can't count on your PP to get you goals. Granted they can still make the playoffs with a terrible PP, but I think it could cost them unless they get it going.

Since losing 3 in a row on Jan 10th, 11th and 14th, the Dogs have played only 2 games against teams currently in a playoff spot (GR) granted winning both games against GR was good but we'll see how it goes when they face them again on the road on the 20th and 21st.

The good news is they play the worst team in the league next and have a couple games coming up against the 2nd worst team in the AHL in the Checkers. But it's how they do against the playoff bound teams that will impact their playoff chances.
