That is one hell of a good offense. I wonder if NHL players will take part in the 2022 Olympics, Sweden could have a nice D if the development goes OK:

EK Dahlin
Hedman Boqvist
OEL Ekholm
Strålman Sandin

You forgot about Klingberg (elite offensively), Hjalmarsson (elite defensively). They make the cut before Sandin imo. Id like to see Forsling too he's very underrated.

I agree about Klingberg even though he's not a favorite of mine, don't think Hjalmarsson will be around the next Olympics, he's pretty banged up after his time in Chicago.

Spot on. He just had 3 surgeries. Double hernia, hip & groin. How the **** did he even skate?

He had a great finish to his season despite his injuries. Monahan also had his wrist reconstructed, a redo of one from last year.

In what world is Lindholm "meh"? Id kill to have him on the Habs. Unless we're talking about Elias.

Maybe I was a tad hard on him (Hampus). It looks like the following NHL players have said yes:

Oliver Ekman Larsson, b, Arizona
John Klingberg, b, Dallas
Erik Gustafsson, b, Chicago
Adam Larsson, b, Edmonton
Mika Zibanejad, f, New York Rangers
Magnus Pääjärvi, f, Ottawa
Johan Larsson, f, Buffalo
Jacob De La Rose, f, Montreal
Mikael Backlund, f, Calgary
Gustav Nyquist, f, Detroit
Adrian Kempe, f, Los Angeles
Hampus Lindholm, f, Anaheim
Rickard Rakell, f, Anaheim

Sweden played a friendly yesterday against Russia and won 2-1.

Hampus Lindholm is a defenceman. Elias Lindholm is the forward.

I know, I copied straight from the newspaper list without looking into the details and they must have had a misprint.

Elias Pettersson is going as well, but since it is the same coach that hardly played Dahlin in the Olympics I can't see him get a lot of ice time.

Didn’t see a general discussion thread. Canada playing USA right now and Americans now up 3-2 and Russia up 3-0 on France.
