At this point, MB is just throwing shit at the wall hoping something sticks. Its obvious our left side is garbage. I think MB was hoping for Gardiner but the guy declined becoming a part of this tire fire of a team regardless the money. And Chiarot is the next best thing we found. We just paid 3.5M for a pylon and you guys really think we didnt offer 6M+ for Gardiner ? Ugh. This team is in trouble.

Mete actually scoring a goal this season may be that silver bullet that will put Habs in the playoffs. Not all is lost. Clod will do some more coaching and Habs will be a-okay.

Very bullish on Chiarot i am.....there's untapped upside in this player.......will be lots of people here eating crow i do believe it ...

A guy with a 107.7 mph shot, that averaged just 13 seconds a game on the powerplay in 305 Nhl games.....

2 minutes total of pp time last year ..like really?
3 minutes total of pp time the year before...???

Jets never used him on PP....we will
He's a 20 pt player already with no PP time....watch that

You're nothing if not positive. I sure hope you turn out to be correct here, or do i? Another top 5 pick may be just what the doctor ordered for this franchise.

How about Gardiner not wanting to come ever to play for the Habs ? The guy has 29 other teams to chose from.

Man this team finished 13th in goal allowed last year ! 13th for god sake! With Weber missing a ton of games and price being trash for quite a while, you can add the Alzner fiasco then the Ouellet debacle and so on!

Maybe they're not that bad actually? Just maybe?...

This signing is puzzling, we just when out of our way to draft 4 LD how biggest asset is skating and passing... are biggest need is a partner for Weber. One out biggest issue is Alzner contract a defensive specialist... Chariot should be a lot more mobile tha Alzner but we just made him the 7 highest payed player (6 if you excluded Alzner)... this signing doesn’t seem to address our need it or fit our cap structure...

I also think Chiarot is a good signing for this team. At best he will fit well with Petry on the 2nd pairing, at worst he will be a good 3rd pairing D.

I liked what I saw from Chiarot in the playoffs for the Jets.

To qualify this a bit - the biggest need is a partner for Weber in the second part of the season when Weber is out of gas. You need someone to carry Weber.

Do you actually know any of this or is your post the equivalent of throwing shit at a wall and hoping something sticks once the season starts?

Another bust. Sure to fail.

Bergevin is surely finished now!

Hope Chiarot reads these 1000+ HF posts about his signing and the prospects for his upcoming 1st season as a Hab...

He would definitely get a kick out of it.

Montreal is (arguably) the best place in the NHL to rejuvenate a hockey career and become a true hero & toast of the town & favourite son. :)

Step up your summer training, Ben, and show the fans here what you got!

I’m sure you've watched plenty of Jets games to come up with that conclusion.

Funny how people who ACTUALLY watch him play like this player and like his game.

He’s paid fairly for what he brings to the table.

The shit that he’s using to throw on the wall most definitely originated from his mouth......these posters talk shit about players they’ve never took the time to watch, dissect and analyze.

One of the reasons Price put up a 2.25 GAA and .925 save % after Weber came back is because Weber actually clears the front of the net which makes Carey's life easier when he's able to see shots. Prior to that he was stuck with smaller or softer guys like Mete/Reilly/Schlemko/Ouellett getting bullied in front of the net which resulted in a lot of goals from screens and tip-ins.

Adding a guy like Chiarot isn't a sexy move like adding a PMD, but having someone who will do the dirty work in front of the net and allow Price to see shots will help the team.

Yes clearly the shit is coming from my mouth here :eyeroll:

This is a good signing, MB does a good job and you are a great poster. You are definitely not a joke on this forum.

Kulak is better than this guy.. not sure where he fits in here at all. Romanov will be here after this season.. Struble the year after.. we have Kulak + Mete.. we didn’t need this guy AT ALL, and at 3.5 mil for 3 years... Stupid move. WE NEEDED A 1ST PAIRING D FOR WEBER! Bergevin is back to his confused contradictions again. Dumb da dum dum dumb.
