Kinkaid is to play the full 60 minutes.

The D pairings will most likely be:

Chiarot - Petry
Reilly - Folin
Leskinen - Fleury

Suzuki in again, surely will line up next to Tatar and Danault.

Do you think cj is trying Weal at center to test out a potential scenario where both poehling and suzuki make the top 9, thus bumping 2 of Armia, Byron, and Lehkonen back to the 4th line, and thus bumping Cousins and Thompson to the press box, and thus creating the need for Weal as the 4c?

Or am i reading too much into this...

Probably reading too much into it. But those may be some ideas the coaching staff are having just to test out some experiments.

Honestly, for me, particularly with Poehling's injury, I look at the fourth line as Cousins - Thompson - Weal.

With Byron and Poehling out sure. But they'll both be back eventually...

If Suzuki makes the team, when 1 of Byron and Poehling come back ( could be any day now), 1 of Cousins, Thompson, Weal has to come out of the line up...

And lastly, personally I have Weal ahead of Armia on any top 9 line combination. So Armia in the 4th. Ex:

Lehkonen Danault Gallagher
Drouin Kotkaniemi Domi
Tatar Suzuki Weal
Cousins Thompson Armia

Please no Armia in the top 9.

I know you don't think much about Armia.
Armia's ppg in nhl is 0.34
Weal's 0.32
Lehkonen's 0.36

You think Lehkonen and Weal deserves top9 but Armia don't. Why?

I think Armia is an elite 4th liner. He's our best pker. He's our best forward to have on the ice with 2 minutes left when protecting a lead. I'm not even against using him on the power play, in the right role...

To answer your question, I still think Lehkonen might be able produce more. We'll see. Same with Weal. I know he's old but I'd like to see him get a shot. And frankly the same is true of Armia - he also may be able to produce more.

The reason i want weal and lehkonen in the top 9 ahead of Armia is they play with their linemates. Armia plays with himself. He has tunnel vision. He's incredible at getting the puck off the boards, then make a few skilled stick handling moves, but by the time he puts his head up the defense has reset and any scoring chance is lost. Plus he shanks so many chances his linemates give him. Maybe he'll improve on that. But for me it's time to give Weal achance in the top 9. And Lehkonen seized his chance when he played with Domi and Shaw last year. I would like to see Lehkonen play without Armia or Drouin.

The Sens are icing a pretty decent roster tonight. It should be a good test for some of our players.
