If Bean is good enough of a centerpiece for ROR (he likely isn't), why doesn't Carolina just directly negotiate with Buffalo? ROR not only fills a bigger need for the Canes, but also has the more attractive contractual situation.

I think there was one by old dedawpro (or I think his username is sebastiahoe or something like that now) and all you need to do is take a quick look at his posting history. That's the only one I recall.
