What is your favorite jersey number on the habs? I mean, a number that just reminds you of good times, or makes you reflect positively towards the franchise? I'll separate them between retired and non retired numbers.
Non retired: #11 - I just really like players that work really hard, and have an outstanding competitive drive, Players wearing this number have been leaders, and warriors since I started watching. Ryan Walter, Kirk Muller, Saku Koivu, Brendan Gallagher all fit the bill. Scott Gomez also wore it, but I'll leave that one out.
Retired: In my time, its has to be #33. There was just a sense of comfort knowing that you have Patrick in net. 33 just reminds me of winning, and confidence. I'm a bit too young to remember the other retired numbers in my lifetime. My vaguest memories are Robinson, and Gainey at the very end of their careers in montreal, so it has to be Roy's number.
