Columbus is a really good team. But so are the Leafs and Bruins. It will be an interesting 2nd round.

I hope we can snag up another first or at the very least an early second through a trade or two.

Not opposed to this. I somehow doubt we will.

If Columbus beats Boston pick 50 becomes 58**

    So, let's go Bruins.

Pick 211 is now certain, as the Jets were eliminated

That's not how it works, if teams that had less points than the Jets win the next round, the Jets pick moves up.

We need to root for boston (throws up in mouth), stars and avs for our 2nd round pick.

The 7th round pick can still change as well.

Good point. What I should have said is that we could draft later than 211th.

Would it not be somewhere between 59 and 62?

We will only determine the Winnipeg pick # once the second round is over, if Dallas,Colorado,Columbus, St. Louis, or Carolina advance to the 3rd round, the Winnipeg pick moves up.

The final 4 teams in the Stanley Cups playoffs will pick #31,#30,#29,#28 no matter how many points they had in the regular season. So if a team that had fewer points than the Jets during the regular season advances to the final 4, the Jets will move up a spot. So we can only determine where the Jets pick once the 2nd round is over.

I don't think the Habs can hit a home run with the 15th pick. However, they might stumble upon a worthwhile prospect. Their best chance of making the 2020 playoffs would be to trade for a quality left defenseman who has years of shelf-life ahead of him. At least they seem to have filled their crater at C with Domi, Danault, Poehling (and perhaps Suzuki).

Tankathon | 2019 NHL Draft Order & Lottery Simulator

This site gives you the basic info that the other poster used to make the calculations. It has the rules for the draft order at the bottom of the page. I think BaseballCoach gave us the most updated stats tho

So, if the above holds true, the Habs's CBJ pick in the 2nd round can be the 47th, 48th or 49th.

Actually, I was off one pick. Should be either 48th, 49th or 50th. Forgot about Vegas. My bad.

I was rooting for the BJs but they looked pretty bad the last few times I watched, so with their demise I will celebrate 3 top 50 picks for the Habs!
