Montreal has a 3.3% chance of drafting in the top-3.

The 15th overall pick needs an asterisk next to it until Tuesday around 8pm.

I was bored at work and looked back at the 2012 & 2013 drafts and go were we ever lucky to have so many draft picks in such **** years. I remember 2013 having so much hype but it's been mostly a big dud.

It's because there's so many people playing. I can guarantee you than if only one person would play once a year you would have to wait a very looooooooooooonnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggggggggggggg time to see a winner.

In the grand scheme of things you must take into consideration the amount of times an event occurs. If you have 0.1% chance to win but 100 000 person try once a week then you'll have many winners. Individually your chances are slim but collectively you'll have minimum a winner pretty much every week. If you have 10% chances to win but one person try once every 100 years you might (or might not) have to wait a very long period of time to see a winner. Individually your chances are good but if you fail that's it for another 100 years.

I would angle for another first, get Zegras and Poulin in first round be cool. Trade down from 15 to 20, take Poulin and add another 2nd. I would try to add another first by taking on either Lucic or Reimer. If the deal was right.

Add another 1st and then drop down in the first seems counter productive

Move up, move down or stand pat? I'd be interested in taking a bad contract to move up into the top 10, but not sure how much there is to work with there.

That's a sentence that sounds pretty bad out of context :sarcasm:

Hopefully we can find a Gallagher with one of those

Wish we could get another top 10 draft pick, if Bergevin has to acquire another for, Tatar, Petry, Shaw.... :sarcasm:

    10 players. Not bad.

Hopefully each department will do their job properly. Analyzing well the market. Choosing picks that are associated to our principal needs.

Half off topic but habs have too much extra depth up front.

Hudon and others are expendable, maybe even some guys who had bounce back years can be traded if Poehling/Suzuki are supposed to compete for spots. I hope it can get us some more picks. We've done well with our picks last couple years so I want more.
