Don't have a good feeling about this one. Seems to be a let down anytime we have a ceremony.

You're right about that, hopefully we kick the trend.

Budaj might be starting too he's been good lately too(time for him to fall), hopefully Dutch, Staz and O'Reilly remember how to snipe on him from practice.

We'll have confirmation if every shot is aimed at the five hole.

I have to work late tonight, so it's the radio for me. Shame I don't get to watch Foote's jersey rise to the rafters.

I guess? i mean they've never played on the Same team but i'm sure Tangs sniped on Budaj a couple times while he played for the flames.

Might want to check your info.

Budaj played 34 games in Tanguay's last season with the Avs.

This game scares me a lot . Montréal is playing a defensive system and they are blocking ALOT of shots . one important thing is that we'll have to stay out of the panality box because their PP is still their bread and butter . P.K. Subban Is VERY dangerous at the PP point and he will make us pay for the penalities, plus we'll have to keep our heads up because he could land a huge check at any moment . I'm looking for a boring low scoring game tonight and yes this game scares me

    Your right my bad.

To be honest i didn't even remember Tangs playing with us after the lockout.

Hope Landy's line matches up against the EGG line.

That's what happens when you start watching in 2008 :sarcasm:

It was our best goaltending year of all time, a 3 man tandem of HHOF'ers, Theodore, Kolesnik and Budaj.

Hopefully the unfamiliarity works in the Avs favor here, that they are not prepared for our speed. I can't even remember the last game against the Habs. I've noticed they are frequently in high scoring games. We need to capitalize on our chances tonight. I wonder what the Roy gameplan for this one is. I liked how McNab was describing their plan last night was to slow Dallas in the neutral zone.

To be honest i was really busy with hockey from 2003-08 playing AAA and tier 2 junior , was playing 6 days a week and rarely was following the nhl.

Was heartbroken to no end that we didn't find a way to keep Forsberg on the team so i didn't make an additional effort to follow how they we're doing.

Next season 06-07 was when i started following the team again, i was thinking Wolski and Staz were going be our next Forsberg/Sakic duo

With the exception of maybe 20 games from Theodore, Budaj was the best goaltender we had leading up to Anderson post lockout.

MacKinnon's the only kid on our team tbh, the rest are pretty much veterans now (not saying that they're all there yet but they're NHL regulars).

Not a single young player outside of MacKinnon has stepped up to claim a regular role on our team yet and it's a bit of a failure from a development standpoint if none of Sgarbossa/Hishon/Siemens/Elliott/Barrie/Malone or whomever else can claim a spot as a regular this year.
