I have a feeling the Habs will flip Mason now for another pick and salary retention.

I have no clue why anybody would be upset about this trade. Bergevin clearly knows he will have lots of space left on the cap so he might as well eat some salary, get some draft picks and hope that Armia can continue to develop. He just turned 25 about a month ago and could be a decent player on a 3rd line for us. Even if they can't flip Mason for another draft pick, he's only on the books for 1 more year.

Armia skates very well and shows flashes of being a really good player. Mason probably gets bought out

I'm ok with this. Armia adds some size to the lineup with the Chucky trade. Plus it probably means Bergevin won't be signing Stastny to a ridiculous contract. Let the rebuild commence.

Armia is a fantastic quality depth winger, kills penalties, strong defensively and at times makes highlight offensive moves, never got the chance to shine in Winnipeg due to the depth they have.

Don’t know how anyone could not like this type of trade.

Better than sitting on capspace. Wish MB had skill to acquire prospects in return but getting another 3rd liner is better than the nothing he did last year. Also another Finn.
