EOTP started their annual Top-25 Under-25 series. Yesterday, they wrote about Jordan Harris for the 25th place. They also said that the 25th spot is a tie. Today, they revealed that the other played tied for 25th is Gustac Olofsson.

2019 Montreal Canadiens Top 25 Under 25: T-25 Gustav Olofsson

He is still an intriguing player because we've barely seen him. He only played two games for Laval last year before suffering his third major shoulder injury in his young career, missing out the rest of the season. I recall liking what I saw in that game-and-a-half (he got hurt in his second game and never returned).

It's almost like we will get to watch a new player joining the organization again at camp. Hopefully, he stays healthy enough to give us a good look at him.

I'm intrigued by this player...he was a player I remember posting the Habs should target the year prior to them actually acquiring him.

Good size, strong skater, good hockey sense, probably won't put up a huge amount of points but if he can get over his shoulder issues, their could be a player there.

3 major should surgery is a lot of time playing/ training to miss physically and mentally it take a high toll and shoulder are tricky it hard to regain 100% and playing in the NHL you can’t be at 97% capacity. But 25th is find he is intriguing and has performed in the past, I find kind of surprising that Harris is so low I would thing that he would be closer to 17th than 25th

Three shoulder surgeries...is that right?

If so, damaged goods who won’t be able to sustain everyday NHL physical play. Why trade for such a damaged player? Weird

Different situation, but the hope is, like Markov when he went through knee injuries for many years in a row, he'll be able to find a way to stay healthy. It's a huge long shot. But he cost us nothing. So we'll see if something close to a near-miracle can happen.

He has a nice ceilling at top 4, but the injuries stopped him.

He still can aim for it, but he needs to be resilient and extremely strong mentally.

He turns 25 2 months into the season so he's not a prospect. The hope is that he can at least stay healthy, as he played only 2 games all of last year, and the year before he played only 41 games all year though in the NHL. In '14-'15 he played only 1 game all year and in '15-'16 he played 54 games (52 ahl/2 nhl) so since leaving the NCAA after his Freshman year he's only had one healthy season where he played 73 games (59 ahl/13 nhl).

But if he's healthy he could help Laval who should finally be stacked if no trades and everyone clears waivers.

This list can't be good if Harris is tied for 25.

The list is pretty questionable to say the least but it is not a top prospect list it is a top 25 under 25 so KK, Domi, Drouin, Lehkonen, Mete, and Juulsen are all part of this list as well.

Look at some of the rankings from the individual "scouts" on this site lol. This site is run by clowns, lead by an exceptionally incompetent guy named Patrik. This clown shoe had Harris at 37 and RHP at 17........!!!!! Just another site full of mindless fans posing as authorities on a subject that their enthusiam for far exceeds their cognitive abilities.

Yeah I'm always baffled by his rankings. I only look at David and Jared's tbh.

4 instances of a torn labrum. Happened to both shoulders. Plus other injuries. At some point, staying healthy is a skill. This is just another line in the water hoping for a catch. Odds are stacked against.

Tons of potential upside if recovered, and strengthened his prone injury areas. Shoulders are rather easily re-enforced and less issues down the road. Prefer that over knees and ankles. Habs are pretty set at it is for now. He certainty has the potential to overtake a Kulak or a Mete though.

I guess you didn’t see the rest of his injury history.

No one is questioning his potential, he’s simply highly injury prone.

It's the opposite actually. Once ligaments, muscles or tendons around a shoulder become torn dislocations are a lot more likely to occur repeatedly. Just ask Brandon Prust.

I always liked him better than Mike Reilly, and if it wasn't for the injury, he would have been a good candidate for a tryout with Weber IMO.

I still have hope, but the injury probably slowed / dropped his potential to play these kind of minutes.

I respect your opinion and appreciate you share your knowledge on this site, but this is harsh criticism of a website that had a nice build and a decent set of writers.

It appears to me that you worry that scouting will be taken less seriously if amateurs try to act as if they can also do it, but you should just be happy that scouting is becoming a more popular discipline even though people do it at varying degrees of ability and talent.

Anyway, it is more likely that this website will give a first-opportunity for a future journalist (a friend of mine got his break by getting experience on a similar website and now works full time for a large media company) than as a scout.

Also the webmaster (maybe Patrick?) can also have a very nice career thanks to the design he did on the website.

It's fine if you are not impressed with the scouting work, but maybe you do not need to trash them so hard about it and get personal with this Patrick guy.
