This is awesome. We were all kind of unclear on what would happen if he played any games for Vegas this year.

Also worth noting that Vegas' broadcast was talking about Gusev last night. SKA, the KHL, and whatever body governs Russia's international hockey were trying to push back hard on Gusev leaving before the World Championships. So it sounds like Goose really wanted to play in these playoffs which is encouraging.

Maybe as much to do with chemistry as anything else. You're not breaking up those top two lines for a player who is joining the team at this stage of the game. I agree that your talent assessment may very well be true, but that's why adding a player of his caliber to the third line and creating another dangerous scoring line would be a huge benefit for a team that had a difficult time getting any sustained offense last night. Besides, TOI is a little more evenly distributed on Vegas than it is on most teams. Now as far as the lines next season are concerned, I wouldn't be surprised to see him move into the top 6. I just don't see it happening right now
