Why would SJ do this? Backes is negative value. actually a massive cap dump by the Bruins. if you want to clear 6M and get a upgrade + late pick it's going to cost you. No one will take Backes for free......

Sure hope not. Patrick appears to be damaged goods. Without his injury history, he’d be an interesting target, but would then be not available.

While being a quality player, Ghost is too similar to many of the other Jets defensemen. Personally I think they’re searching for a more physical and stabilizing type of shutdown defenseman.
