Guess the 2019-20 Lineup

Leipsic is making a case to be re signed as RFA. But who knows since the lineup is already packed below without adding anyone thru UFA.

Brodzinski looks good so far.

I would assume for next season without any ufa moves or trades.

Where does Amadio fit? Do the Kings send Luff down again he is only 21.

I hope the Kings realize that a guy who scores 28 points with a career 9.1 shooting percentage is not a 1st liner. Hard worker, smart player, belongs nowhere but the 3rd line, maybe 2nd if an injury occurs. He simply cannot produce offense at this level. Mediocre skating, below average shot

I think @KINGS17 summed it best. Skilled guys don’t seem to work with Kopi. Maybe aside from Gabby for a time.

I honestly see Leipsic and Brodzinski going elsewhere unless Carter and Toffoli are moved.

Kupari is variable in all this too. Can he come over and take a spot? Is he a center or winger?

It’s impossible to predict next year’s roster because there are a lot of unknown variables. Will Vilardi ever play in the NHL, can Kupari take the 3C spot, will we win the draft lottery, will Carter and other vets get traded? The only think likely certain is the below:

This seems most realistic based on contracts. I think they trade Carter in the offseason to open up a spot at forward. And bring in a defenseman to replace bump down Roy in that roster.

I think it may come down to 3 of these 4 making it and the other 1 open in Ontario. Not sure room for all 4. That's fine. At least the group of 21 and under looking like NHL players.
Don't count JAD out. He's on fire, goals in 4 straight and up to 35 pts in 26 now. Turns 20 Sept. I expect him to have a good Summer. Kupari turns 19 next month and over 30 pts
in Liiga. Top speed and skills, 2 years in men's league. No rush, but could see him make the team as well.

The defense to me is still the crux of it.

I can’t see Anderson, Clague, or Brickley making it.

Clague has paid his dues but is he better than Roy or Walker? Seems like he wasn’t even in the AHL. Roy (7th round) and Walker (FA) we’re not close to Clague’s second round pedigree. That makes me nervous.

Anderson seems like a steal but he isn’t even signed at this point. Can he take a spot?

Still have Forbort and Phaneuf taking up space. LaDue might as well be on another planet.

Not looking forward to another tank year.

I don’t mean to be a debbie downer but none of Walker, Roy or LaDue have impressed me at all.

The whole D has been crap this year except Muzzin before the trade.

Looks like Walker is a more of puck moving D, Roy seems like a Forbort clone but to me he seems a bit small to play that stay at home role in the show. LaDue, idk what happened too much jerking around by the Kings or he’s just not a full time NHL player.

Carter needs a serious turnaround next year if LA isn’t going to have another craptastic season.
