Very eager to see how Austria approaches this game. They need to get a win somewhere yet can't afford to lose.

    Rui Patricio
    Cedric-Pepe-Fonte-Guerreiro
    W.Carvalho
    Joao Mario-Adrien Silva-Andre Gomes
    Ronaldo-Quaresma

This is what I'd like to see for Portugal. William Carvalho is more creative than Danilo and Moutinho is in poor form at the moment so I would bring in Adrien Silva because of his chemistry with the other Sporting midfielders. I hope Rafa Silva gets some game time as well, wouldn't like to have him rot on the bench the entire tournament, he has more to offer than Nani.

The Iceland supporter in me really hopes this ends in a draw, but I would not be overly upset is Austria was the mayhem, and outright won

In typical Austrian fashion, the initial euphoria has been replaced here with gloom, doom and pessimism. I have to say I share the latter. Also, no Dragovic and no Junuzovic doesn't help matters anyway.

Should I be surprised Wimmer isn't starting?

Austria misses a free header. Should have been a goal.

Not surprising but a bit disappointing because Prödl is way past it. Hinteregger and he are both left-sided CBs. Hinteregger is the key to Austria's buildup and actually played well last match so it makes sense that Koller wouldn't try to tinker with him.

Harnik misses 8 out of 10 such balls, at least that's what he has been doing the last few years and he kind of mastered that skill during Stuttgart's relegation season.

Hinteregger and Prödl is kind of scary, they both have obvious weaknesses. But Portugal's defense has also been doing a great job of not marking their man.

Btw, Hinteregger's nickname in Germany is Wurstegger. Austria's buildup is horrible today.

This game needs a goal. Fair number of chances.

Alaba has been really bad these past two matches

A lot of that is this goalkeeper.

Harnik misses 9 out of 10, but the user ugmo will tell you otherwise.
Harnik is good at creating chances, spaces for other players and all that, but scoring is not his strength.

Love when commentators talk about qualifying matches that they obviously never watched.

    I don't understand how this is 0-0.

Oh wait, it is because I've got money on their being goals.
