Krupp will change the lineup.Reul and Kreutzer play instead of Goc and Greilinger.Pätzold and Endras will be the goalies, but it's not clear who will get the start.

Schedule a bit unlucky for Germany. Clearly better than Denmark but with an OT game yesterday the strength just wasn't there. Not that it helps the Danish much.

i don't think germany has a worst goalie than endras when it comes to shootout. krupp needs to change the goalie next time after the overtime. :shakehead

4 points just given away by germany in the last 2 games against Finland and Denmark. And they lost a lot of energy in the 3 ot's in a row.
They could had played against usa or Norway in the quarterfinals, with a good chance to win. But now they will play Sweden or Canada, with nearly no chance to win it.

Yeah, Endras is down way early. Could really hurt him in the NHL.

Definitely a wasted opportunity for Germany in that regard, this was the one qualification round game from which 3 points were a realistic expectation.

Meh, shouldn't throw away points like that...

The 3-3 was really unnecessary, as was not shooting at the empty net. A regulation win would have guaranteed at least third place in the group, now they need to count on the Slovaks to take away points from the Finns or on the Russians to lose both games.

Not to sound pessimistic, but teams who lose in the quarters get ranked by the qualifying round, and we need to put as much places as possible between us and Norway, Switzerland, Slovakia, Belarus and Latvia for a direct Olympic qualification.

It doesn't matter if they are at 3 or at 4. 2 would had been important.
There is no realistic chance to win against Canada or Sweden.

Yes it does matter. Ranks 5 to 8 are done by the results of the qualifying round, and we need the points.

I agree with Germany not having much of a chance against Canada or Sweden, but as mentioned above, there is more than one reason to finish as high as possible.

Same same

Damn, Danes won. And they're not even a hockey country.

Latvia, hardly a contry at all. :)

Don't worry we are quietly becomming a Hockey nation. Next step is our first Stanley cup winner, when Vancouver take their first titel, later this year.
(Jannik Hansen are in the Vancouver line up)

Why does it matter if we are 7th or 8th in the end?
