Once Z arrives this Czech team will be destined for gold again. He will solidify the defense and they will be the strongest team in the tourny. This is great for Czech hockey and great for these guys.

Z? Zidlicky? I know that he's pretty good player, but he was far away from solid defensively last season with Wild.

Only defensively solid Z that I know is Chara, and he's Slovakian, would only hurt the Czechs if Boston would be eliminated and he'd join to the Slovakia's roster.

Yes, I meant Zbynek. I'll clarify next time, but I was typing on my iPod Touch and was being lazy.

Nothing against Latvia but for the Czechs it should be an easy game to win. Personally I hope Latvia can manage not to lose by 10-0, 11-0 or even worse score.

4:1 for us (Czech)... Latvia always play very good against us, so that won't be easy.

I don't think we'll see 10 goals that often anymore.

Please, They went to overtime with them in the Olympics, I'm pretty sure Latvia hasn't gotten that much worse in a year (despite missing some of their best players). You obviously don't follow international hockey at all.

You know, Latvians can sometimes surprise with stupid things. But hopefully we will kick some ass today! And our guys show too much respect to the opposite team and tend to play by their rules.

Not a blowout, but a clear win for the Czechs is what I expect.

    Go get 'em Pavs!

Kulda should score today. He's not shy to shoot when opportunity kicks in.

You may be right, the Olympics I don't remember well but I know that the Czechs won the title last year against Russia if I'm not wrong.
Well, possibly I underestimate Latvia I hope for them they have a good tournament. But normally I think you are right, Latvia doesn't lose 10-0 or 10-1 or something like though the Czechs are the clear favorite for me.

But ok Russia was also the clear favorite against Germany but they lost....
