Kimmich is amazing. A great playmaking RB is one of the biggest differences in Germany's play today. I hope he can make that position his own for the national team like Lahm did.

Schürrle he can't be serious. ;)

Surely this pun has been beaten to death.

If Poland scores again..

then both POL and GER will have beaten NIR 1-0 and UKR 2-0
and they drew eachother 0-0

so, coin toss? :D

Full tiebreaker rules:
Tiebreakers

If two or more teams are equal on points on completion of the group matches, the following tie-breaking criteria will be applied

Higher number of points obtained in the matches played between the teams in question;
Superior goal difference resulting from the matches played between the teams in question;
Higher number of goals scored in the matches played between the teams in question;
If, after having applied criteria 1 to 3, teams still have an equal ranking (e.g. if criteria 1 to 3 are applied to three teams that were level on points initially and these criteria separate one team from the other two who still have an equal ranking), criteria 1 to 3 are reapplied exclusively to the matches between the teams who are still level to determine their final rankings. If this procedure does not lead to a decision, criteria 5 to 9 apply;
Superior goal difference in all group matches;
Higher number of goals scored in all group matches;
If only two teams have the same number of points, and they are tied according to criteria 1–6 after having met in the last round of the group stage, their ranking is determined by a penalty shoot-out. (This criterion is not used if more than two teams have the same number of points.);
Fair play conduct (1 point for a single yellow card, 3 points for a red card as a consequence of two yellow cards, 3 points for a direct red card);
Position in the UEFA national team coefficient ranking system.

The four best third-placed teams are determined according to the following criteria

Higher number of points obtained;
Superior goal difference;
Higher number of goals scored;
Fair play conduct;
Position in the UEFA national team coefficient ranking system.

So fairplay conduct and UEFA coefficient are next.

This Euro is so crap. I don't think it's the 24 teams even specifically, it's the 3rd placed team rule and the importance that places on GD.

Northern Ireland has zero incentive to open up here because they figure their GD puts them in a decent chance to qualify at 0-1.

A lot of people are blaming the defensive tactics because of the lack of incentive to get forward but the creativity and finishing has also been substandard. Germany had plenty of chances to score in the first half.

Germany's forwards are pretty out of form overall. Müller and Götze in particular. Still I wouldn't say they're lacking creativity at all.

The pitch quality isn't good for creativity or finishing. These pitches are considerably slower than what you'd see in the typical high end stadiums in the top leagues which helps defenders and goalkeepers. While the weather improved recently many of these pitches are still in the shape of a late November rugby pitch.

You have Germany, Italy, France and England in one bracket...other teams are meh.

And potentially Switzerland/Poland, Spain, Wales and Hungary/Iceland/Portugal as "top teams" in the other bracket.

Such utter ********. Easy path for Spain.
