This is a matchup that is not super even on paper, but in actuality it is as Peru plays great team football. I also expect some of their players to move to Europe after this tournament is over.

Delaney is a BVB player now, if you want to correct.

And yes, on paper, Denmark are the better team, but this game could go both ways in reality.

If Denmark have one of their bad days, and Peru come to play, it could get nasty.

Peru is well structured and good technically. I have them progressing in the second spot

Peru either only got in because karma wanted to screw Chile for their ticky tacky BS with that bolivian-ecuadorian(?) player, or they've still got enough magic to top this group.

Denmark are also well structured and good technically.

Either I am overestimating Denmark or people are underestimating them, since no non scandi experts have Denmark progressing 2nd, they choose Peru and Even Australia.

They rely on Eriksen too much in my opinion.....Plus no Lord to score goals so that will be a tough hurtle to get over :p

Objectively, I think you have the better defense, and the better star pulling the strings for Sisto and whichever of Jorgensen, Cornelius, Poulsen, Fischer or Dolberg they're paired with...but Peru's qualification was just so crazy, that they've either got a touch of destiny about them, or they blew their wad just getting this far.

Yeah going on form you have to pick Peru after their qualification campaign.

I got a feeling they have the destiny and will end up being similar to the Iceland story of 2016, In terms of narratives. Obviously the countries come from different backgrounds and the fact that Iceland did what they did was wild

Not really, but I can see why the stats would make you think that.

They however suffer from no real forward.

Goal, Defence and midfield are all solid, but the front is lacking.

going on form, Denmark had a really good 2nd half run and PO. lots of goals scored, few conceded.
They suffered from a generation change and new coach to begin the qual.

I'm not going to lie, I also hate that you play with two out-n-out 6s behind Eriksen & co...even though I really like Delaney

Erikson is definitely the straw that stirs the drink. His stats show it and he does drop deep to collect the ball and then distribute it

Yes, but he is not the be all end all of Denmark. He is important for sure. Most middle countries have one or 2 players that would hurt them loosing.

Before mr coke was allowed to play, people were all like, Peru are done for, now that he can play, Peru are going thru, so it seems he is also the straw the stirs the drink.

I think Denmark is being underrated here... I get I am biased but I haven't seen anything from Peru that leads me to think they are the better team. Outside of Guerrero (how isn't a star player), Peru doesn't have much to offer imo. Only having 4 players playing in Europe isn't very impressive. Denmark are playing better than they have been for a lot of years and the only positions with question marks is defensive midfielder and striker. Jørgensen and Dolberg could potentially get going which would leave Qvist as the only worrying point.

I'd be very surprised if Denmark and France don't grab the two top spots.
