4-2 Germany, with the Ukraine scoring the last goal of the game. We'll score on them; but also let Yarmo & Kono hit us on the break.

people are sleeping on Ukraine. Barely even got mentioned in any preview shows. Half of their players play in champions league every season.

Yarmolenko and Konoplyanka could play on any top 5 club in europe. They don't have a star striker, but this is a great team.

I think Poland is over-rated.

Define "a great team." Apart from their wing dribblers their roster is underwhelming, and their collective play is pretty poor.

Poland is properly rated. Not in the tier with Belgium or England, but somewhere in the next group of teams (Portugal, Austria, etc.). They have better players and a better system than Ukraine. I'd be surprised if they didn't advance.

Germany has some weaknesses to. I dont like the Fullbacks and the wingers. Dont know why Löw nominated so many Defenders and just 1 left fullback.

My team would look like:

----------------------------Neuer

Weiser----------Boateng---------Hummels--------Schmelzer

---------------------Khedira---------Kroos

--------------Götze------------Özil---------------Schürrle

------------------------------- Müller

Not the biggest Schürrle Fan but atleast he is a real winger.

I hope the Germans are smarter than the English yesterday. You don't dominate a game, score one goal and then sit back and hope nothing bad happens.
I expect a similar game with a better outcome for us.

Germany will win this one.

Khedira - Kroos alone in midfield will likely work against weaker opposition, but I'd definitely add Schweinsteiger or (until Schweini is fully fit) Weigl as a "6" ahead of the defense and play a 4-3-3

Well we will see. This Germany game is critical. Ukraine needs at least a point. Will be hard though.

I have doubts that Schweinsteiger is the player he once was. There are reasons Munich let him go and the last injuries didnt make him stronger too.

True, but the other options are a bit young and inexperienced. I think a fit (which is a big question) Schweinsteiger would still be the best option for this tournament.

Götze is the logical choice since the ukrainian defenders are all pretty tall. Gomez won't win a single header.

Why not Muller? Götze is the only winger who can be strong in dribblings.
I want Müller in the penalty area. He isnt a winger in my opinion.
Would like to see how strong this team could be under a coch like Tuchel.

Im not that high on Germany this tournament. They've looked quite pedestrian since the WC - in qualifying especially.
