Has Kimmich played even one pro game as a RB? I mean I get why people think he could play that position, but letting him play it for the first time ever in a Euro match? I don't know... If Hummels is fit, I'd start Mustafi on the right. Not perfect, but better than Höwedes.

Up front I'd switch Özil and Müller, although that attack would be very fluid either way. I'd love the midfield three with Weigl though.

Jogi said he would consider playing Kimmich as a RB. Not sure if he's willing to try it out in a competitive match. Maybe the third group match if they win today.

There's something about Özil that makes me love him. I can't really put my finger on it. But he's one of my favorites. I hope Germany wins.

If he were more consistent he'd be one of the best in the game imo. When he's on he's incredible.

Götze again as striker. Dont understand what Löw likes on this.
Maybe the Messi comparison when Götze was young.
I would like Müller or Gomez. Götze is a midfield player.

The heck why did they take Mustafi off? He wasn't the problem, take Howedes out and put Boateng or Mustafi on RB.

Agree. But Boateng is needed central and if Mustafi is much better as RB is questionable.
The problem is Löw didnt give a chance for a real RB like Weiser or Durm.

This is the Jogi classic where he takes all group stage and probably the first K.O. game to realize the lineup he imagined at the start of the tournament doesn't work.

Löw loves Höwedes for the defense. It's almost like playing a left wing lock. He is a utterly inept offensively, though..
