Australia definitely looked better than some of the other weaker teames so far (KSA & Iran). They play an entertaining style.

I'm gonna..
We definitely deserved a draw. If France plays like this against a big boy team they're going to get wrecked.

Deschamps pretty much "gave" the people the team they wanted and the performance was ho-hum to say the least. Which means expect Matuidi and Giroud back in and Tolisso and Dembele out.

France with an underwhelming win. Never trusted DD as a coach. They’re really lucky they got an easy group.
Some players like Dembele need to wake up. I’d start Lemar and Fekir over Dembele and Tolisso.

Mooy is a solid player

People forget we are current Asian champs. We are better than Iran and Saudi Arabia.
Yeah, I'm not sure why anyone is surprised by this. Australia are the only half-decent team from the AFC in the tournament. Japan and South Korea are better than Iran & Saudi Arabia, but they have certainly regressed in recent years.

Honestly fair enough. Well organized defense and Mooy is under rated.

Rogic has been killing it for Celtic. Jedinak is good. Ryan is in good form. Kruse is finally healthy. Watch out for Daniel Arzani in the next couple years (i believe he's the youngest player at WC). We lack attacking options, especially with Tomi Juric out of touch.

Yeah they said that on the broadcast. I was wondering about him, don't know much about Melbourne FC but I'm assuming he will be moving on to grow in the coming years

Next guy is Graham Arnold. Notorious for preaching boring football.

Lame. Hopefully this tourney convinces the federation to pick a more ambitious manager

btw has Jacob Italiano been linked to a move to gladbach next summer on your end? Eberl was apparently down there working on it over the winter.

France will improve. The teams that play their best at the start typically falter down the road.

Except in 2014, 1990, 1974 & 1954 ;-)
That's why I said typically. While I would agree on 1990 and 2014, where Germany played very evenly, I entirely disagree on on 1974 and 1954. Holland and Hungary had the hottest starts in those.
