Germany has become a bit of an arch-enemy for us. Last year the deciding game for the QFs was played against Germany, and we lost in SO. A little before that the deciding game in Olympic qualification was played between the two teams as well. We lost 2-3 in a nail-biter, and Germany went on to nearly beat OAR in the finals.

We remember both of these games and our guys really want some revenge this time around. Oh, and we also need 2 points to keep our play-off hopes alive.

Overall, this is pretty much a 50/50 game. Both teams are rested, this should be a good one.

This could be a great game, and almost certainly a tight one. The winner takes it all - and the looser is out of the race for the quarter final. Both teams can still decide their faith themselves, with a slight advantage to Latvia who will face Denmark in the last game on Tuesday.

Latvia lines seems to make a bit more sense now than it was at the beginning of the tournament. Didn't had time to watch Germany games, but it should be close game.
Latvia wins in OT 4-3 is my prediction, but I can easily see this go either way.

Hartley seems like a coach thats very set in his ways. Takes a long time for him to adjust.

Jevpalovs in for Meija at 4C.

Cibulskis on the top pairing. I sure hope for his own sake that there won't be any f***ing brain farts this time. He can do better.

I kinda like that Germany is pushing the tempo, not from the Latvia perspective but rather than it will make up for even more exciting hockey

Germany have probably more shot on goal, but we have more quality chances so far

all-around very good period for us. If we play like this I think we will be fine.
