Anisimov and Grigorenko connect. They should play together at ES, IMO.

What are you LOLing about? Goals so far are Malkin/Kuch connect on the PP, and Anisimov/Grigorenko at ES. Neither of those pairs are in the original lines? Though I do expect Norway to fold soon.

LOL Why mention the "scrub" who scored?

And our 3rd best center scores on an assist from a bottom 6 bum.

I am LOLing hard about "scoreless after 8 mins". Never read something as hilarious. What is expected 10 goals per period?

How do you feel about players scoring you downright called scrubs and leftovers?

Barely above average NHL wing 1 goal.
Grinder aka bottom 6 plug 1 assist.

Through 20 minutes of play so far.

Very good game by Norway in first period. Very agresive and good playing style.

Gusev, Kucherov, and Malkin have amazing chemistry on PP1. They really need to play together at even strength. This is what Malkin can do with elite wingers. Already two assists.

That top powerplay for Russia is amazing. They've had 3 PPs, 3 goals. And no Ovechkin. I say keep him off, the Malkin-Kucherov-Gusev chemistry is amazing to see.

He had a tap-in on that first goal. Malkin did all the work.

Grinder’s line just gave away another prime scoring chance to Norway. If that was the Swedes or Americans, they’d be -2 by now.

Man, isn't a weird logic, because Dadonov scored both of those goals?

Anisimov with some suspect defensive play there. Norway scores.

Norway scores again! Kovalchuk didn’t have his man at the point, and Vasilevekiy misjudged the shot.

Russia looks weak at even strength. Powerplay saved them from some embarrassment this game.

Lol, Russia could have scored probably twice as many goals. We just stopped playing after 5-0.

I disagree. Russia looked discombobulated out there for large stretches at 5v5. They can’t rely on the PP alone against the better teams.

We should make a negativity thread for those guys in the Russia section. They just find something bad in everything.
