I hope we win somehow, but the Swiss are the favorites. Unfortunately, our offense is pretty much non-existent.

Difficult prediction, as Slovakia is a tough nut to crack. They are a defensively very disciplined team and play a good forecheck. It'll be close, and special teams could be decisive. 3:2 for the Slovaks.

I'm sure Slovakia will find a way to disappoint me again... A win against the Czechs would have done so much for there confience, and with another win against Switzerland they could have ended up 3rd in the group. No they'll probably lose this one, and end up missing the quarter finals once again.

Do you think that win against Czechs would mean more for confidence than OG win against Russians did?

Well deserved lead for Switzerland.

Genazzi doesn't look out of place at all on the wing so far. Good to see.

Very good period from Switzerland's POV, though Slovakia got better at the end. Berra looking shaky at times.

Only negative aspect, the power play was terrible. It feels like the players are stuck in trying to run a set play rather than read where there's available space.

The puck always sticks at the same spot after the periods start. Gotta consider that for future games.

Would be awesome if we had more Scherweys in PK situations to chose from. Yesterday was the same. Shades of Ambühl.

As a swiss, you got to be happy with the way the defensemen perform.
The 3rd pairing plays much better than expected.
Hofmann, I guess, could use a goal to calm down a bit.
Schäppi looks better than yesterday.

The last ten minutes were a lot better, high forechecking and the puck stayed far away from Berra most of the time. Slovakia being incredibly clumsy in the offensive zone helped as well, although I guess that the bad quality of the ice played a part in that.

Excellent game by all defensemen.

Yeah, great defensive effort, very few giveaways and mistakes. Scherwey was excellent and I also liked the effort of Vermin and Rod. Nino wasn't as dominant as yesterday.
