And still I expect the worst performance so far, by the German team, which could still be good enough to win, but it doesn't have to.

I really hope they won't let up and keep going like they did against Russia and Slovakia, but I doubt it.

Can't look any further than the Group A winners. Germany.

Yes. Yes it is. I predicted Germany's real breakthrough would come five years ago though

I think Reimer will get a start against the Czech or Finland in the next round.
You know, a game where we don't really expect to win, although at this point there might be no such thing.

I'd bet on Germany, not because they are my favourite, but because they are unstoppable.

Never say never. Slovenia looked real good against both Russia and Slovakia and they certainly has more to play for.

Germany controlling play, but soemhow all the shots that were placed perfectly against Slovakia seem to miss by a bit today. Slovenia with some good breaks as well, and of course the lonely goal.

A wee bit too much hooking/interference for my taste, there could have been quite a few calls early on.

Very nice pace in the game so far, hope it continues. I think it's just a matter of time before Germany ties it.

Weird. 2-0 now, Germany doesn't lack chances but they just need to capitalize. Easier said than done.

They clearly have shown more jump after the 0-2, lets hope it continues.

Better pressure on the powerplay as well, though more on the one they didn't score on. Finally getting a PP-goal is huge though.

Müller sure is off his game. At least he seems to get that. Maybe he can turn it around in the 3rd.

56 shots by Germany.... Great game, I think Germany deserves to win this though. :)
