Big test tonight against a pretty good Swiss team. Hopefully the boys can pull it out. I'm betting Campbell see's a lot more pucks tonight then previous games, so hopefully he can stand strong.

a Swiss win in regulation will result in 1.Fin, 2.Sui, 3.Usa

a Swiss win in overtime will result in 1.Fin, 2.Usa, 3.Sui

an American win will result in 1.Usa, 2.Fin, 3.Sui

The fins need the Swiss to win to get first, otherwise they'll be 2nd, the Swiss need to win in regulation to finish 2nd, otherwise they'll be 3rd, the US need to win to win the group, an OT loss and they'll be 2nd, a regulation loss and they'll be 3rd

I just hope to see a killer instinct from the team that they haven't showed in the last 2 games. Keep the foot on the pedal for a full 60 minutes.

I agree. Trend up leading to the medal round. There is so much to be had by winning this game. There's momentum, the opportunity to rest some injured players, and the all important bye into the semis. It would be a shame to flush that down the toilet by not respecting the opponent and tightening the noose the way these players can.

Hard game for me to watch, I root for my home country but I have a soft spot in my heart for Switzerland cause of Nino and their hard working style of play.

Swiss hockey has improved significantly the last few years. Not a team to take lightly, but I'm sure Allain and his staff are all over that with their players.

Man really hope to see a Swiss win!! That be awasome, Conz needs to be really good tonight if the Swiss have a chance.

So the loser of this game plays Canada right?

Not necessarily. If USA wins, regardless of regulation or OT/SO, they win the group and a bye to the semis. If the US wins, or if the Swiss wins in OT/SO, Canada plays Switzerland. If the Swiss win in regulation, Canada plays USA.

So basically USA can lose in OT/SO and avoid Canada.

Morin and Zucker are both out tonight. Ugh. Morin didn't play in the 3rd period yesterday either. Allain said it was precautionary but obviously not. Both did skate this morning though. No other changes to the lineup. Nelson/Callahan are on the 4th line.
