I didn't see this reported here so here it is from the Flyers website:

Following Friday morning practice, Flyers GM Ron Hextall gave another injury update to defenseman Nicklas Grossmann.

Grossmann will be out for approximately three weeks with an upper-body injury.

He suffered the injury in the first period of Thursday’s 3-2 overtime win over the Washington Capitals, where he appeared in just 5:46 of time-on-ice.

Grossmann has played in all 41 games for the Flyers this season and has appeared in 119 of 123 games for the Flyers over the last two seasons. He has eight points (3g-5a) to go along with a plus-5 rating and 16 penalty minutes in 41 games.

We better still be able to trade him at the deadline (assuming Hextall tries to and there's a taker), that's all I care about.

Legit facebook quote

"Flyers are done now. Just lost our best defender".

Oh and he wasnt kidding. He was straight yelling at others because they made fun of him/Grossmann

Facebook comments are ridiculous, but has anyone read hockey youtube comments? They're all so damn aggressive!

Oh right... Grossmann... Oh no...

Typical Grossmann: getting reasonably healthy, playing his best hockey as of late, injured again, will come back early and play like poop for the rest of the season. No chance someone will pick up his contract now.

Grossmann is/was/always will be trash. He's a $1 million defensemen making $3.5 million.

His possesions stats tell the story that his defenders try to ignore.

Grossmann's spot will probably be filled by an upright-standing sofa that the starting goalie will move around the ice by a series of ropes and pulleys. When asked about this move, Berube responded, "Yeah, we're giving up a bit of mobility. But look at the size of that thing!"

Practiced in Nick Schultz's place Wednesday (today) but not expected to return tomorrow. Could be back later in the week. Per Tim P., the injury was not a dislocation, just soft tissue.
