I was hoping someone could tell me how many points Gretzky had in the 1987 finals.

HSP boxscores say Gretzky's scoring is as follows:
    1: 1-1-2
    2: 1-1-2
    3: 0-2-2
    4: 0-3-3
    5: 0-1-1
    6: 0-1-1
    7: 0-1-1
    Total: 2-10-12

Other sources like this http://couchpotatohockey.com/Records/Playoff_Ind_Records/Assists.asp say that he had 9 assists, not 10. Also the offical record for most Finals assists is 10, but it lists Gretzky's series from the next season. I imagine a credited assist was taken away later, but if so, which one?

The box scores I have credit him with one assist in Game 3, that being the second goal.

i found articles from "toledo blade," "schenectady gazette" and "the hour" (connecticut newspaper) on game 3 that have the same.

HSP says messier and gretzky assisted on coffey's goal and anderson's goal, but toledo blade, schenectady gazette and the hour say messier and coffey assisted.

EDIT: here is a great highlight video of game 3. there is a video for each game. cannot see who assisted on anderson's goal, though.
