Greatest season ever by a conventionally bad player?

Jeff Schultz +50 year.

I'm assuming you mean Justin, who last year had 27 points in 46 games which is a 48 point pace over 82 games.

Edit: I'm dense! Didn't realize you meant +50 for plus/minus, I thought it was referring to Justin's 51 point season.

Cheechoo wasn't average or below average before his injury. He put up 28 goals in his sophomore season, which was good for 23rd in the league. He was 92nd in the league in scoring.

His 05/06 season was much better than his other seasons, but he wasn't a conventionally bad player until his hernia surgery that took away what little speed he once had.

It gets really tedious seeing people forget or not know how good he was before that surgery.

When Guillaume Latendresse was traded for Pouliot, he scored like 25 goals in 55 games for the wild (37G pace) and Pouliot scored 15 in 35, or like a 31 goal pace. Pouliot never scored over 19 goals in any other season, and was generally pretty awful, while Latendresse scored 14 total goals for the remainder of his career (3 seasons), and hadn’t scored over 18 any years prior.

Both of these guys were even worse than their stats showed too.

Jacques Richard’s 1980-81 season makes no sense compared to the rest of his career.
