Only marginally different than the bias against early and pre-NHLers like Benedict.

But at least those old time goalies have a basis of comparison, such as Vezinas, all star noms, cups ect. What exactly is the basis of comparison for goalies who played minimally against NHL competition? Hence why I think goalies who spent their entire careers in Europe should be excluded from these polls.

And I won't. Problem is, people are voting for Tretiak, whereas Holocek, who was better in head to head competition, isn't even getting a hint of recognition. Including non-NHL goalies just highlights the ignorance of the people voting.

Of course, if you don't vote for them, they'll keep showing up in the surveys, and that apparently rankles you something fierce.

It seems as though your best strategy is to always vote for a European when available, since that will get them off of the lists quicker. Good luck!
