The lack of recognition for Esposito in this exercise is starting to get insulting.

6x led the league
3x led the playoffs
broke the single season goal record by 24, almost 50% more than the prior record
retired #2 all time in goals
retired with the 3 highest single season goal totals in history
retired with the most hat tricks in history

His margin of victory in the 6 "Rockets" was 1, 25, 16, 3, 16, 8

On average his 6 "Rockets" came with a margin of victory of 23% above 2nd place

I would say he's about 6th in my opinion. I would have Bossy way lower, and had thrown in Howe for #5. I think one of the issues with Espo is that he played 18 years in the NHL, and "only" finished top-10 in goals 9 times. Compare that to Howe who had only 1 less (retro) Rocket, but finished with 19 top-10 finishes (and more overall career goals). Both of those things push him above Espo in my opinion.

Plus, some may make the argument that Espo may have lost 1-2 of those Rockets if he was not playing with one of the GOAT's.
