Potvin. I smell another blowout on the horizon. Three Norris Trophies. The top defenceman on a dynasty that produced four Stanley Cups. Retired as the game's top-scoring defenceman. Nearly a point per game in both the regular season and the playoffs. One of only a handful of defencemen to reach 100 points. Played a strong, physical game to match his offensive prowess. 7-time all-star. (Five first team all-star selections, two second team selections).

Add Tim Horton, although King Clancy and Earl Seibert are worthy choices, too.

Easily Potvin, he's one of the greatest all around defensemen in NHL history. A lot of guys are great scoring defensemen, and although Potvin was one of the best at that, he was also one of the best defensively as well. He's #2 in my book, behind only Orr.

Add Horton.
