Didn't they say that most things would stay the same? Maybe McCrimmon gets a bit more say but McPhee still would have at least equal role in negotiations and if they are talking about an Ovechkin who can still put up 30-35 goals a season then it depends on the contract but I don't think McCrimmon would fight against it a lot.
