Oh my, what a shift by Zadina, goes end to end, dishes it off, then wires it into the goal. Griffins erase a 2-0 hole with 2 power play goals. Zadina with a goal and an assist so far.

Ugh, Zadina limped off the ice early in the third after a weird neutral zone collision along the boards, and he hasn't returned. Turner Elson also was injured in the second period blocking a shot. Puempel is gone for the game with a game misconduct.

Griffins down 4-3 with about 5 minutes left. Not a pretty game from Sateri.

Hicketts tied it late and Turgeon won it in the shootout with a sweet goal. Now we cross our fingers and wait for the injury report...

At least 1 forward (possibly 2) will be called up from Toledo in time for tomorrow's game in Rockford. Toledo was in Fort Wayne tonight and they beat the Komets 3-2 (SO) [2-1 in SO]. Trevor Yates will most likely be 1 forward called up. If they call up a 2nd one, it will either be Jordan Topping or Bryan Moore. Givani Smith & David Pope will both be back in the Griffins lineup for Sunday's game as well.

Puempel got back at an Admirals player by sleugh-footing him at the Griffins blue line in the 2nd period when prior to that, Puempel got slashed on the wrist and no call on the play and Puempel went straight to the dressing room for repairs as he missed 2 shifts. Most likely he will be suspended for Sunday's game.

Elson blocked a shot by his wrist area during Milwaukee's 5 on 3 pp in the 2nd period and it did not look good at all as the refs immediately stopped play and he raced to the bench and straight to the dressing room. When he is on a roll, he ends up getting a freak injury and sets him back awhile.

Zadina look like he hit a rut on the ice at center ice at the near boards just before he got drilled by a Milwaukee player and he could not brace himself for the hit. I had to watch the replay at home to see what actually happened as from my view, I could not tell how it happen as it happened so fast.

Sulak ended up playing forward for the 3rd period with the 3 forwards mentioned out of action and the Griffins ended up at times, playing 3 lines. This was from a carry-over from Tuesday's game in Milwaukee and it could have gotten much worse, but the Griffins decided to come back from 2 goals and got a hard fought SO win. Camper is still listed as Day-to-day, but he too, will not make the trip to Rockford. I hope they have enough energy to play in Rockford on Sunday.

Literally every goal is scored and assisted by guys who have no future in Detroit. Depressing.

Hicketts could have a future. Anyway that happens when so many of those with potential aren't there currently. Still I was expecting more from Smith and Saarijarvi this season.
