Abbotsford will be a tough team to beat. Ortio is a great goalie and considering GR's troubles at the end of the regular season (10 goals in the last 6 games), they're going to have to step it up quite a bit. The 1st round being best of 5 probably isn't in their favor either.

Gotta hope they can keep the series close until Sheahan and Jurco can return.

The last game feels like a decent indicator of who's gonna play. Would guess that Grant comes in for Janmark/Campbell and Jensen for Ouellet(who's with DET), but no big changes. This was the team: http://theahl.com/stats/game-summary.php?game_id=1012236

Yeah, they gotta survive this round. To get Marchenko, Ouellet, Mantha, Sheahan, Jurco later is a huge boost.

Reinhart just pushed/skated Almqvist into the boards from behind like 3 seconds after an offside whistle. Stayed down and was helped out.

Not a good game for the Griffins, but Pulkkinen has looked like the best Griffin out there. I didn't realize how quick he has become.

Pulu got crushed by three players and delivered a breakaway pass to AA, but he couldn't convert, glorious save by Ortio(sp).

Killing a two minute 3on5 and a major penalty is pretty big. One goal is nothing, this game could be 4-3.

Sounds like Mrazek is standing on his head to keep them in the game. Really, it's impressive how many fantastic goalies there are in the AHL these days. Tons of young NHL-capable guys.

Yeah, this game has NHL calibre goaltending.

Tootoo hit the post from way out..

AA has been the most impressive Griffin I've seen in the one period I've watched of this game.

I hope to see him in Detroit in the next few years.

Nice helper on the equalizer.

AA's cemented a spot even when they get bodies back. He's just better than half of the forwards.

If Griffins wanna win this they gotta start hitting the net. The ice is tilted evenly yet the shots are 44-27.

Mrazek is so aggressive I mean wow

he literally raced a heat player for a puck that was closer to the blueline than the net

got run into and was slow getting back to the net,Jensen had to block a shot at the empty net
