Cool tribute. There was a proposal in Montreal to rename the Champlain bridge to the Maurice Richard bridge and it got rightfully shot down. A lot easier to rename the thing when its called the ambassador bridge

Sorry, but I think it's a stupid name for an international crossing. I love hockey, and get the honour for Mr Hockey, but I personally just don't think it's appropriate. There is so much history between these two cities (Windsor and Detroit) - automotive, underground railroad, Detroit River, one of those would have better reflected the collaborative nature of this venture. However, for all those here who are from this area, I think a better name would have been the "Screw You Moroun" bridge.

As someone from Windsor, I'm going to refer to it as the "Screw You Moroun" bridge. Sorry Gordie.
