Feels like it’s been forever since our big 4 have been going all at the same time
Since the start of April:
Matthews 14GP - 14G - 6A - 20P
Marner - 15GP - 5G - 13A - 18P
Tavares - 15GP - 7G - 11A - 18P
Nylander - 10GP - 3G - 9A - 12P

they have all been clicking and it’s amazing seeing this

What I liked about the win, is that I predicted a 6-3 victory, thinking that we could just as easily lose 2-1 or 3-2.
Reason being,
- playoff spot secured
- players don't want to get injured, playing like it
- playing a "safer" game
- players working on cute plays and chemistry, as opposed to just playing full tilt
- Vancouver pride hurt
- Vancouver plying loosey-goosey, nothing to lose, playing for spots in the lineup
etc etc

Yes, on talent and lineup alone, this should always have been EXACTLY a 5-1 win; but this is the NHL, and parity is real, and all the players are relatively good, and on any given day . . . the worst can defeat the best (tonight: Detroit 1-0 over TB in a SO, case in point)

So I look at this as yet another very mature win.
Maturity throughout the game, in terms of not taking anything lightly or loosely, being resolute at all times, having pace at all times when possible, and having the mindset to step on the throat of your downed opponent.

I'm liking everything I'm seeing.

Looking forward to at least 3, hopefully 4 victories over the Habs.

No way Hyman is getting 3.5M on top of his 2.25M salary.

That 3.5M should cover both Rielly and Hyman's next contracts

1.75ishM to both of them,

6 years 4M for Hyman
8 years 6.75M Rielly

Then we got 1.2M from Kessel retention for Sandin bridge deal next year

Hyman will probably get $4.5 million per. Part of Kerfoot's salary will help pay for Hyman's, while Brooks plays 3rd C at a much cheaper price than Kerfoot.

Here is the hidden hockey nuance that was so impressive tonight.

Amongst the forwards the guy with the most ice time was at 17:37 - the least was 12:32 - now that is a feather in our cap when we can do that and win so convincingly.

You may know this already but in case you don't the post you quoted was a reference to the Maple Leaf Hater Jim Hughson and one of his smug inane comments in the past.

38 goals in 47 games is 66 goals over a full season. What is even more insane is that Matthews played probably 5-10 games with a bum wrist and put up those numbers.
