$1.5M is about right for a top end 4C that can fill in at 3C when necessary. Beagle got a stupid contract double that for being a FO specialist.

Market value contract for what he does. Just means more ice time for the kids hopefully.

I can't see that being the case. No way they would let him walk because of money especially since they have so much cap to use. I'm guessing Luke wanted to be on a contender.
