More likely we tried to sneak him down on a paper transaction for Belleville's playoff push prior to the deadline and got caught with our pants down.

Not a big deal either way, we'll have 3rd pick for every D placed on waivers, just won't be able to play him in Belleville

This is... unexpected.

It's not really a big deal for Belleville given that they already have something like 10 healthy defensemen anyway. Puts Ottawa in a bit of a bind though. It leaves us with 5 healthy defensemen, and since they want to leave the kids in Belleville it doesn't leave many recall options.

Wonder if the Sens might sign Corrado or Percy and have them finish the year in the NHL. Waivers are another option. Maybe could take a body back in a Namestnikov deal.
